People of Catskills,

It is with much sadness that this decision was made, but it is time for me to retire as your EM. Since I first found myself on your shard, picked up my Catskills Survival Guide, and stepped out into the midst of the chaos that is Catskills, it’s been an enjoyable trip. I knew before I started that Catskills had a long history of being unique amongst the shards, and you didn’t disappoint. It has been an honor to serve as an EM on a shard with so many great players and unique communities. It has been wonderful to hear your tales and share many stories with you. It has been a pleasure to work with EM Kasaven to bring the events and games we designed to you, help you bring your own ideas to life, and to have the honor of officiating some of your weddings.

I could list my favorite times and memories, but I’d rather share them with you in person. EM Kasaven will be hosting a going-away party, starting at 7pm Eastern on Thursday 4/29, at the Catskills Fairground. I hope to see you there.

Your horned EM,
Cernunnos

Although I am stepping down, I am not leaving my 12+ years of UO behind; so be good, as you never know when I’ll be watching!

Since the last riddle contest was so successful, we are going to have a second go. This event will be held on Thursday 4/22 at the West Britain Counselors Hall in Trammel at 9pm Eastern time.

The rules are simple:
You will be given a book with riddles – solve as many of them as you can in the one hour time limit. The player with the most correct responses wins. You may also add a riddle of your own into the book – if you stump the EM with your riddle, then you get an extra point!

Hope to see you there!

The eggs have ripened today and the hunt is on. Ask the Royal Investigator at the West Bank of Britain for the latest “news” on the event.

This is an ongoing event which utilizes static npcs throughout Trammel Britannia. You can finish the event on your own time.
Enjoy!

PS: The Felucca Basket Giver is also active… it is just a ferry ride across the shore.

Don’t think we’d forget the Easter holiday this year!

From 1pm to 6pm Easter Sunday (4/4/10), look for the Easter bunny running around anywhere in Trammel. You can have a chance to spot him in dungeons, towns, and the countryside.

If you can’t search for him during this time, he might make a few later appearances as well!

There is also another Easter event as well which anyone can participate in on their own time – just ask the Royal Investigator at Britain’s West Bank in Trammel.

Update: Due to requiring a publish, the second event will become active tomorrow – Monday 4/5/10!

See you there!
